The Ten Commandments

My life is likely to last ten to fifteen years.
Any separation from you will painful for me.
Remember that before you buy me.

僕の一生は10年から15年くらい。
ほんのちょっとでも君と離れているのは辛いの。
僕と暮らすことを決める前に、そのことを忘れないでね。

Give me time to understand what you want of me.

君が僕にして欲しいことを僕が理解するのには、
少し時間がかかるんだ。

Place your trust in me. It's crucial to my Well-being.

僕のことを信じて。それが僕の元気の源なんだ。

Don't be angry at me for long and don't lock me up as punishment.
You have your work, your entertainment and your friends.
I have only you.

長い時間、僕のことを叱ったり、閉じこめてお仕置きしたりしないでね。
君には、仕事やいろんな楽しみもあるし、お友達もいるでしょ。
でも、僕には君しかいないんだ。

Talk to me sometimes.
Even if I don't understand your words,
I understand your voice when it's speaking to me.

時々は、僕とお話してね。
僕には君の言葉はわからないけど、
話しかけてくれている君の気持ちはわかるんだ。

Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

君が僕とどう接しているか、わかってる？
僕はいつまでも、それを忘れないよ。

Remember before you hit me
that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones of your hand
but that I choose not to bite you.

僕のことを叩く前に思い出して。
僕は君の手を簡単に噛んじゃうことができるけど、
君を噛まないようにしているんだよ。

Before you scold me for being uncooperative, obstinate or lazy,
ask yourself if something might be bothering me.
Perhaps I'm not getting the right food,
or I've been out in the sun too long,
or my heart is getting old and week.

言うことを聞かないとか、頑固だとか、怠け者だって僕を叱る前に
僕がそうなっちゃった原因をちょっと考えてみて。
ちゃんとしたご飯をくれた？
とっても暑い太陽の下にほおっておかなかった？
もしかしたら、僕の心臓が年をとって弱っているかもしれないよ。

Take care of me when I get old; you, too, will grow old.

僕が年をとっても、一緒にいてくれるよね。
君だって同じように年をとるんだよ。

Go with me on difficult journeys.
Never say, "I can't bear to watch it." or "Let it happen in my absence."
Everything is easier for me if you are there.
Remember, I love you.

僕が天国に逝くときには、そばにいてね。
「見ているのが辛い」とか「私がいないときに逝って」なんて言わないで。
君が一緒にいてくれるだけで、僕は安心なんだ。
忘れないでね。僕は君を愛しているんだ。
